Join professional choreographers speaking alongside dance students as they share stories, uncover history, and discuss the future of movement, dance and the body.
Panel 1: Explore the intersection of dance and the human body in a discussion featuring choreographers Caroline Meaden (Molly) and Alisdair Macindoe (PIECES 2024). As creators of groundbreaking new dance works, these artists offer a unique perspective on the power of the body as a conduit for storytelling. Hosted by VCA Dance researcher and performer Dr. Phoebe Robinson.
Panel 2: Discover how choreographers evolve their practice, taking inspiration from dance archives, and envisioning new futures for the artform. Arabella Frahn-Starkie (Pictures & Ghosts) is joined by dance and theatre students from the VCA to share insights into the creative process of developing rich, exciting works from archival material.
